Scope. This notice covers personal information collected via the Site only (our marketing website and its forms). It does not cover any current or future mobile app or paid service; those will have their own privacy terms.

1) Key Definitions

  • Personal information / personal data: information that identifies or can reasonably identify an individual.

  • Processing: any operation on personal information (collection, use, disclosure, storage, deletion).

  • Controller: the organization that decides why/how personal data is processed (that’s us for the Site).

  • Processor/Service Provider: a company that processes data for us under contract (e.g., hosting).

2) What We Collect

2.1 Information you provide

  • Contact / Waitlist form: email address and free-text message (“Request”).

  • We do not request uploads, payment details, government IDs, or sensitive categories on the Site. Please don’t include sensitive information in free-text fields.

2.2 Information collected automatically

  • Technical & log data from our hosting and security stack (Wix), such as IP address, device and browser type/version, OS, pages viewed, timestamps, and basic diagnostic data necessary to operate and secure the Site.

  • Cookies: We use only strictly-necessary cookies for security and core functionality. We do not use analytics, advertising, or behavioral tracking cookies on the Site.

3) Why We Use Your Information (Purposes)

We process personal information to:

  1. Respond to your messages and manage the waitlist/updates (unsubscribe any time).

  2. Operate, secure, debug, and improve the Site (fraud/abuse prevention, availability, performance).

  3. Comply with legal obligations, enforce our terms, and protect rights and safety.

We do not use personal information for profiling, targeted advertising, or automated decision-making.

4) Legal Bases (EU/UK where applicable)

  • Consent (GDPR/UK GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)) for form submissions and update emails.

  • Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) to run, secure, and improve the Site and prevent abuse.

  • Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)) where retention or disclosure is required by law.

You may withdraw consent at any time (unsubscribe or email us).

5) No “Sale” or “Sharing” of Personal Information

We do not sell personal information and we do not “share” it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We have no analytics/ads pixels on the Site.

6) How We Disclose Personal Information

We disclose information only to:

  • Service Providers / Processors (bound by contract to act only on our instructions):

    • Wix – website hosting, form handling

    • Zoho Mail – company email (sending/receiving replies)

    • Namecheap – domain/DNS management

  • Legal/Safety recipients: courts, law enforcement, regulators, or advisors where required to comply with law or protect rights, security, and safety.
    We do not allow Service Providers to use your information for their own marketing.

7) International Transfers

We are a U.S. company and may process data in the United States and other countries via our providers. Where required, we implement appropriate safeguards (e.g., contractual protections). We currently do not maintain an EU/UK representative because the Site does not systematically target EU/UK users; we will reassess if our targeting changes.

8) Retention

We retain personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above, then delete or anonymize it.

9) Your Choices & Rights

9.1 Unsubscribe (marketing preferences)

  • Our update/waitlist messages include an unsubscribe method.

  • Or email hello@couplespaceinc.com with “Unsubscribe” in the subject.

9.2 Rights under GDPR/UK GDPR (if applicable to you)

  • Access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, portability, and withdraw consent.

  • How to exercise: email hello@couplespaceinc.com. We will verify and respond within the required period.

  • You may lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority if you believe we have not handled your request properly.

9.3 U.S. State Privacy (e.g., CPRA/CCPA)

  • We do not meet CPRA thresholds and do not sell/share personal information. You may still request access or deletion at hello@couplespaceinc.com; we will honor requests as applicable.

9.4 Do Not Track

  • Many browsers offer “Do Not Track” signals. The Site does not respond to DNT signals because no common standard is widely adopted. We already avoid analytics/ads tracking on the Site.

10) Security

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the data and risks, including: HTTPS in transit, strong authentication for admin accounts, role-based access/least privilege, and security features provided by Wix and Zoho. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

11) Children’s Privacy

The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 submitted information, contact hello@couplespaceinc.com and we will delete it.

12) Third-Party Sites

Links on the Site may lead to third-party websites or services. Their content and privacy practices are governed by their own policies. Review those policies before submitting information.

13) How to Make a Request (DSR Workflow)

To exercise rights or make a privacy request:

  1. Email hello@couplespaceinc.com with a description of your request (e.g., access, delete).

  2. We’ll verify identity (typically via reply verification to the email on file).

  3. We’ll respond within required timelines and explain outcomes or reasons we cannot fulfill a request in full (e.g., legal obligations or security exceptions).

14) Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy. When we do, we’ll post the new version here with an updated “Last Updated” date. For material changes, we’ll highlight updates for a reasonable period.
